ARDBEG

Close to the ancient Kildalton Cross, the white-washed, wave-washed buildings of Ardbeg lie on the dramatic, rugged southerly shores of Islay. Their brightness belies their chequered past, when the doors seemed closed for good. Now, fresh Ardbeg is once again flowing freely, still using the Distillery's own private water supply which runs down over the peat and rocks from Loch Uigeadail.

Ardbeg's Ten Years Old
Ardbeg Ten Years Old is a very special bottling for the Ardbeg distillery as it is the first non-chill filtered whisky in the Ardbeg range. Chill filtering isn't a bad thing, in fact it created real consistency of product when the whisky industry was a little more 'hap-hazard' than it is today. Ardbeg Ten Years Old is whisky with none of the goodness taken out and as good as straight from the cask.

Ardbeg's Ten Years Old
Ardbeg's 1977 Vintage Ardbeg's 1977 Vintage
1977 is our second Vintage. Non chill-filtered for greater flavour, it is an absolute delight, embodying the perfect balance of sweetness, fruit and deep smoky aromas. And with so many very special characteristics, we rank it close to Provenance. Due to the limited stocks of Ardbeg, it is likely to be the last Vintage we declare for at least ten years.

Ardbeg's 17 Years Old
This single Islay malt is revered by connoisseurs as a truly extraordinary whisky. Ardbeg Single Malt stands alone as the most delicate and complex of all the Islay malts. It does not flaunt the peat; rather it gives way to the malt, the natural sweetness of which subtly permeates and produces the perfect balance.

 Ardbeg's 17 Years Old
Lord of the Isles Lord of the Isles
Ardbeg Lord of the Isles is the supreme expression of Ardbeg. At 25 years old this whisky embodies the richness, depth and sweetness of all Ardbegs. Bottled at 46% and non chill filtered for the 'natural' flavours and aromas of Ardbeg to develop. Light gold in colour and powerful in character, this supreme expression of Ardbeg celebrates a period in Scottish history which saw Islay as the stronghold of Somerled, the Lord of the Isles. Beautifully packaged and presented in a burnished gold case, this whisky is exceptional in every way.
